We gripped the rough hemp rope, our knuckles turning white. On the signal, we pulled with everything we had. It wasn't about individual muscle; it was about the synchronized rhythm of twenty people acting as one. We could feel the tension, the strain, and the sheer will of our teammates through the rope.
