The Final Ember: A Pre-Graduation BBQ
"The fire that warms our hands today will light our paths tomorrow."
The smell of woodsmoke and grilled food filled the evening air as we gathered for our 'Bakar-Bakar' day. It was our penultimate moment as a class, a chance to step away from the monitors and simply be present with one another before the final graduation ceremony.
As the sun set and the fire crackled, we shared more than just food. we shared memories of our mistakes, our late-night sprints, and the jokes that only someone from this lab would understand. The bittersweet reality of our departure began to sink in, but it was overshadowed by the warmth of our connection.
We realized that while our time as students was coming to an end, the legacy of our brotherhood and sisterhood was just beginning. One last night around the flame, a final ember to carry with us into our separate futures.
